Tell us about your work and what excites you most about it.
I am incredibly humbled and thankful to be chosen as one of Oxford’s Top 20 Under 40. After graduating from Ole Miss in 2015, I began working at Village Tailor. I later started a career in real estate in 2018, which allowed me to meet and work with so many wonderful people at Kessinger Real Estate. My love for fashion and the Oxford community kept me involved with Village Tailor even as I grew my real estate career, and in September 2022, I purchased the store.
Owning a clothing store is such a joy for me because of my love for fashion. I enjoy traveling to New York each season to buy for the store, curating collections, and creating displays, but what excites me most is connecting with customers. Styling each person according to their taste and building those relationships makes the work deeply rewarding. I also enjoy the creative side of merchandising and designing window displays that draw people in.
Real estate is equally rewarding for different reasons. Helping first-time homebuyers is especially meaningful, as it is one of the most exciting and important purchases someone can make. I also love assisting people in finding a home in Oxford, whether for visits or full-time living, and sharing in the excitement of joining this community I love so much. Every client brings a unique story, and I find joy in guiding them through the process.
What’s an accomplishment you’re especially proud of?
I am proud to have continued and built upon the success of a long-established business that once employed me. Taking ownership of Village Tailor has been both challenging and rewarding, and I am proud to see it thrive while serving the people of Oxford. In real estate, I am proud to have guided clients through such an important milestone in their lives while building lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues.
How has Oxford influenced your journey, and how do you hope to give back?
Oxford, and particularly the University, has played a major role in providing both a customer and client base. The events tied to education, athletics, and community life bring energy and opportunity to both my businesses. Village Tailor’s location on the Square also provides a strong connection to the heart of Oxford.
In return, I strive to give back by offering employment opportunities at Village Tailor to both students and residents. Through my real estate work, I also help people find their place here and become part of this charming town. Beyond my businesses, I look forward to staying involved in charitable events and continuing to support community groups and initiatives.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
Spending time with family and friends is my greatest joy.
