You don't have to go very far to enjoy a romantic weekend.

One of the greatest attributes of Oxford (among many) is its location – near the big-city life of Memphis, yet just a short drive away from the beautiful and serene Mississippi Delta. These locations, in their own ways, are perfect for a quiet, romantic getaway. So for Valentine’s Day this year, explore something out of the ordinary and give your sweetheart the gift of a memorable experience at one of several nearby unique hotels that offer luxury accommodations and romantic packages.

Graduate Oxford

For an experience that is truly as Oxford as it gets, look no further than the Graduate. Located on the north end of the Oxford Square, the quaint hotel offers a college-life stay with a few extra amenities that make each visit feel like a local adventure.

“The good thing about us is once you’re here, you’re here,” Graduate Director of Sales Lauran Ellis said. “You don’t even have to leave the property to enjoy the nightlife of Oxford.”

The charm of the Graduate is in the details, hidden throughout the hotel. Your room key may be the college ID of Ole Miss royalty Archie or Olivia Manning. The lobby of the hotel is reminiscent of a library – but one that includes a bar. Art on the walls portrays an abstract version of the Grove and a little bit of Oxford history. The Coop rooftop lounge is named for Cooper Manning, and the Cabin 82 cafe serves southern cuisine amidst a Neshoba County Fair atmosphere.

“The point of the hidden facts is for you to come and ask so the staff and guests can interact,” Ellis said.

Through the month of February, the Graduate is partnering with Epicure Day Spa of Oxford to offer a Valentine’s Day package, which includes a spa gift card. For more information, visit
